Noah & best friend at the Super Bowl

Noah goes to the Superbowl

“ Empowered by his wish, Noah is strong, pumped, and ready to tackle leukemia. ”

Noah is surrounded by the roar of a packed stadium. He takes a deep breath, closes his eyes and feels the adrenaline rush of the biggest sporting event of the year for football fans. This is his wish-come-true.

He is not alone. His best friend, Eli, is right by his side, ready to experience the thrillsNoah goes to the Superbowl of Super Bowl XLVI. Their time in Indianapolis has been filled with activities leading up to this big game. Together, they bonded over a tour of the Lucas Oil Stadium and even tossed the ball around with players at the NFL Experience. Now the New York Giants and the New England Patriots have them on the edge of their seats, eyes glued to the pre-game show. Tension builds as the teams line up for the kickoff.

This weekend is Noah’s opportunity to take a break from the everyday stress of leukemia. Around the time of his diagnosis, Eli’s family moved. Despite the distance, Eli is Noah’s support system through the challenging treatments. For Noah, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is only complete with his best friend there.

Excitement peaks in the stadium; every play counts in a tightly contested game. And the Giants edge the Patriots 21-17. Noah and Eli jump to their feet in enthusiasm, forging the memories of a lifetime. Empowered by his wish, Noah is strong, pumped and ready to tackle leukemia.

For Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3, 2013, 12 wish kids head to New Orleans with the generous support of the NFL and others.

This wish was a tremendous experience for Noah and the whole family. It was perfect timing, in his last year of treatment, and I feel that the thrill of his wish will never be repeated for him. ”
