This photo from Tyler’s wish is a glimpse into one of those moments. And it’s exactly the sort of thing Southwest Airlines does so well for wish kids – they figure out how they can elevate wishes, from decorating the gates to announcing wish kids in-flight. (And let’s not forget the ticket vouchers Southwest donates to get wish kids to their destinations.)
Imagine what this is like for a 4-year-old boy with a heart condition. People Tyler doesn’t even know are making his day incredible in unexpected ways. Many of us at Make-A-Wish have seen Southwest Airlines employees in action during a wish – and their genuine, spontaneous enthusiasm is hard to match.
It’s right here in this photo … a pilot took a few extra moments for a wish kid. And both of their lives are better for it.
